Amber or milky amber when insufficiently oxidized or reduced, with aventurine sparkleA reducing or insufficiently oxidizing flame will shift the color toward amber rather than striking to purple — the aventurine glitter remains but the purple does not develop.
Working notes
- Avoid over-garaging — this rod is an aventurine and over-garaging suppresses sparkle.
